So it is now 2015 and what have I been doing for the last 37 years..
Getting ready to retire from The Port Authority of NY/NJ on March 6, 2015! Wow..it has come fast the last couple of years. Never thought I would be so anxious to reach 55! Can't believe it's been all these years with one company but I think I made the right decision to start working for them right after high school. I will be getting another full-time job maybe in banking or front desk administration until I can collect Social Security in 7 years.
My son, DJ, will be 27 in April. He is still with his lovely girlfriend Meg (9 years now) and still working for Mercedes with 7 years under his belt after graduating from UTI (automotive college)in December '07. His biggest news is that he has bought his first house with his girlfriend and they will be moving in at the end of January. I am so proud of him.
My daughter, Kimberly, is now 20 and my darling grandson Jayce (the light of my life) will be 2 in March.
She has been with her boyfriend Austin for 3 years now and they are going strong. They make wonderful parents. She is working at the Sandy Hook Day Care Center in Sandy Hook, NJ and loving it.
That brings me to my third child, Brianna, with my husband Kenny. She will be 17 in May and a junior in high school. Wow...where did that time go! I remember her being only a couple of months old at our 20th reunion...She is working at Old Navy and eagerly awaiting getting her license. She is a great driver.
I have now had another surgery....carpal tunnel and tendon release in my left hand. It was a struggle but well worth all the pain and effort....it sucks getting old!
My husband Kenny and I are looking forward to hopefully traveling some once I retire from the Port Authority and may eventually move to Arizona to be near my family....of course, now with a grandbaby in the picture so many things can change!
Looking forward to our next official reunion and am so glad we have such a wonderful class that still makes time to get together!
