2020 All CLass Reunion |
|
|
The All-Class Reunion Committee has been meeting via Zoom but unfortunately, have decided to postpone the reunion until summer of 2021. I think that they have made the right decision. I asked about if the plans for Old Home Day. I'll let you know when I find out. Be safe and healthy.
**** PITTSFIELD OLD HOME DAY CANCELLED ****
The Old Home Day Committee has announced that the traditional Old Home Day events will be cancelled for this year.
In the spirit of Old Home Day and to celebrate our Pittsfield Community, we encourage everyone to decorate their HOME or BUSINESS in the RED-WHITE-BLUE (It's All Up to You) theme. Maybe consider decorating early for July 4th to keep the spirit going a bit longer! We are working on a few other physical distancing appropriate activities and will have more information soon!!

Suncook Valley Rotary Club Cancels the 39th Annual Hot Air Balloon Rally.
The Suncook Valley Rotary Club has announced that it will be cancelling the 39th Annual Hot Air Balloon Rally. With the uncertainty of the direction of the COVID-19 pandemic and how it will affect large group gatherings, the Club felt that cancelling the rally was the safest option for the community and the public.
At this time of year, the Club would typically be fundraising, working with vendors, entering into contracts and making decisions about the event. During this public health pandemic, when our entire community is under such an intense strain, it is not practical to request or make such commitments.
As part of its decision, the club weighed several factors, including how the pandemic could impact all the vendors, balloonists, families and the visiting public.
While it is sad to think about missing the Balloon Rally this summer, it will be back on August 6-8, 2021 bigger and better than ever. The Suncook Valley Rotary Club wishes everyone a safe summer and we look forward to seeing you at the rally in 2021. |
