Today's Featured Biography
Janice Pendergast Valdespino
Let me begin with a brief introduction. Within a year or so of graduating from HHS, I entered the military (U.S. Army) and I completed a 6X2 contract with them. I am considered a veteran, due to Operation Desert Storm and received an honorable discharge. Hence, how I wound up in San Antonio. I graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Science through the nursing school and just completed my Masters Degree in Science (2007) to become an Adult Nurse Practitioner. I will be sitting for a National Certification exam this year and will begin working again when my youngest daughter starts Kindergarten. I married Henry in 1998 and we have four children, all girls. The youngest is three and the oldest is eight. I coach soccer at my kids school during the fall and otherwise I am a stay at home mom. Life has been good to me so far!
