Amy Fisher Maguire

After graduation, I decided that I was a midwesterner for a few years and went to Indiana University for college. I realized that being a midwesterner involved trudging through snow and being really, really cold for a good portion of the year, so I decided to become a southerner again by going to ECU for graduate school. I earned my master's degree in Audiology and then decided to become even MORE of a southerner by moving to Birmingham, AL for a post-graduate fellowship. Instead of becoming a midwesterner again for my Ph.D., I decided I was done with school and moved to Atlanta (2000). This is where I met my then-future husband, Gavin Maguire, on a blind date that I didn't want to go on. I left audiology after about 4 years of practicing and went into pharmaceutical sales. During that time, I got married (2003) and had a little boy, Shaw Allen (2005). When I realized that my son knew his daycare workers better than his parents, I became extremely disillusioned with corporate America and said "Screw it. I'm opening up my own business." It's a gift-box business called Never Ending Present and I'll let you know when I get things up and running....(and it could take a while because I have NO clue what I'm doing...Thankfully, I have a very patient husband.)
