Jeffrey Hamilton

May 1982 was very busy for me. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BS in Accounting, sat for the CPA exam, and drove to Joliet, Illinois to get married. My wife, Sue, and I travelled to Columbia, SC, and I started my first job as a project accountant at Bankers Trust of South Carolina (now part of Bank of America). I became licensed as a CPA in North Carolina in 1984. After a couple of years, I was recruited to Sovran Financial Corporation and worked in Norfolk, Virginia for 7 years. C&S in Atlanta ad Sovran in Norfolk merged to create C&S/Sovran. I was offered a job in the Accounting Policy Department of the new Company in Atlanta. Sue and I moved to Sandy Springs, north of Atlanta. NCNB bought C&S/Sovran and created NationsBank (which later became Bank of America). I was offered employment in Charlotte, but I decided to stay with NationsBank in Atlanta. In April 1995, I accepted employment with SunTrust as an Accounting Manager. I was recruited to RBS Lynk, an electronic payments processor, in October 2002. I am the Senior Settlement Manager, and I manage 4 accounting managers in a total Group of 11 accountants. We are a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland, one of the largest banks in the world. Sue and I live in Roswell, north of Atlanta, and we "rescue" rabbits who need a home.
