Regina Wells Freeman

I earned my BS Degree in Psychology from Western Carolina in 1982 and my M.Ed. in Counseling from Winthrop in 1988. I worked as the Director of Student Services for a business college for 4 years and earned the AICS Dean of the Year Award in 1987. I have been employed by Gaston County DSS as a social worker for the past 18 years. I have worked in Child Protective Services, Adoption and Foster Home Licensing. I was voted the NCSSA Employee of the Year by the Gaston County chapter and the Southern Peidmont chapter.
I have been married to Glenn Freeman (HHHS Class of 1977) for 23 years. We have 3 beautiful children. Alexandria and Logan (my girls) are active in dance, cheerleading and pageants. Alexandria is a freshman at Meredith College majoring in Fashion Merchandising. She is Teen Miss Gastonia 2008. Logan is a freshman at Forestview High School. She is a competitive dancer and jv cheerleader. Cameron, my 6 year old son, (yes I started over - it's funny how God has different plans for our lives) is in the 1st grade. He is active in sports. It's hard sometimes to manage a full time job and 3 kids, but I would not change a thing. My kids are the greatest gift God has ever blessed me with.
We are members of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
I am still best friends with Mandy Searcy Robinson. There are some things that will never change. When you find a good thing, hang on to it. I don't know what I would do without my friend.
