Today's Featured Biography
Regina Beard
Currently a Vice President employed with Wachovia Corporation in the Corporate and Investment Bank. My division is Treasury Services and I manage education, development and training for our Treasury products and services. I have been in this role for 3.5 years but my career with Wachovia is 11.5 years beginning in June 1996. My office is in uptown Charlotte, Two Wachovia Center.
I am President of Wachovia's Corporate Black/African-American Employee Resource Network, a 2000+ member organization with members in every major market within the Wachovia footprint. I also sit on an internal women's initiative, "Women with Wachovia", a 40 member team sponsored by Wachovia's head of HR & Corporate Relations. I volunteer currently with The United Way of the Greater Carolina and The Arts & Science Council and have participated in a leadership giving role for 5-7 consecutive years.
Prior to Wachovia, I was an office manager and paralegal in the law firm of Gingles & Hamrick, Gastonia with Ralph Gingles, Jr. and Calvin Hamrick for 12 years. Dealing mainly in real estate law and estate law, I thoroughly enjoyed the legal community in Gastonia. I also worked briefly with the law firm of Richard (Dickie) Laws prior to joining Wachovia.
So most of my career has been in legal and the financial markets.
I love music and travel as my immediate free time enjoyement and I also have twin great-neices, Layla and Kayla, 4.5 years who live in Raleigh, NC that I love spending time with.
