I graduated from Southeastern College of Beauty Culture in Charlotte in 1958 and have been a hairdresser for the past 47 years.
I married Bobby Whitehead, (WMHS Class of 1955) in March 1961. We were happily married for 43 years, until Bobby passed away in December of 2003. We have one beautiful daughter, Beth, born May, 1963. In July 1975, we were blessed with the addition of another lovely daughter, DiAnn, who was age 16 when she became a member of our family.
There are three grandchildren - Chris, 22, Kaylyn, 13, and Morgan, 12. My grandchildren are the joy of my life. Chris lives with me and is studying Simulation and Game Design at Central Piedmont. Kaylyn and Morgan are in Middle School and live in Belmont, so I get to spend a lot of time with them.
I live on Lake Wylie in Charlotte. I am semi-retired.
I just recently was married to a wonderful guy, and a fellow classmate Harry Mullis. We will both be at the 55th Class Reunion which is coming up in June of this year. Look forward to seeing everyone then.
