After graduating from East in 1989 I went to play football and run track for The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. During my senior year, I was named to the 1st Team Walter Camp All-American, 2nd Team AP, Coaches, and Kodak All American Teams as a defensive back. I was tied 4th in all of Division-1 football with 7 interceptions that year. After graduating in 1993, I went to work for Household International in Wheaton, MD and Gastonia, NC as an Account Executive until 1996. From there I went to work for Equifirst Corporation as a mortgage underwriter for a year. I then moved to Jacksonville, FL to work for Life Savings Bank and JP Morgan Chase as a Senior Correspondent Underwriter. I then moved to Akron Ohio in 1999 to work for Ohio Savings Bank as Mortgage Banking Specialist. I then moved back to Jacksonville, FL in 2001 and worked for Wachovia as a Senior Mortgage Underwriter. I then worked as contract underwriter for Contemporary Services from 2002-2004. I then went to work for SunTrust Bank as a Assistant Vice President until April, 2007. After that, I then went back to school full time at Jacksonville University to obtain my MBA, in which I completed in May, 2008. I currently work now as a Senior Government Underwriting analyzing risk of potential borrowers and properties. I work directly with the Department of HUD concentrating on FHA, VA, and USDA mortgage loans. I also work on the committee for the Mortgage Reinvestment Act that President Obama has put into place
