Today's Featured Biography
Diane Bush Risner
I obtained my college degree in business administration the year I turned 40. (So we are never too old to do something we want!) I have been divorced and a widow and have now been married for 3 years. This one came with 3 step children. I am waiting for the first of April to finally be a grandmother from my daughter, Sarah. (Aren't we too young for this? As I have read some of the other biographies, I am very far behind in this category--Buster's HA!) I have been in banking for over 30 something years. Presently I am a Vice President, and Compliance Officer for Senath State Bank at the Mid County Branch in Kennett. If anyone is ever in town, please look me up. I would like to encourage everyone to make the mini class reunion. It is fun talking about the old days and catching up on everyone's current status.
Just wanted to add that I have joined the crazy grandparent club. Sarah had a little boy, Dylan on March 26, 2009 and he is wonderful. Hope everyone can join this club at sometime.
Today is October 6, 2011. Just wanted to add to my grandchildren list. On August 29th, Jerry Jr. had a little boy names Jase (5lb. 12oz.) and on September 8th, Sarah had another boy Hayden (8 lbs). So we now have 3 grandboys and it's a ball. On Oct. 3rd, Mom fell and broke her right wrist in 2 places and her right hip. She had surgery last night and is doing good. I knew I was about to be in the sandwiched generation but believe me I am really there now. Life goes on.
Where does time go? Since the last post I lost Mom on December 2, 2011. Jerry Jr and his significant other had another son April, 2013. So now we have a 5 yr old, 2 3 yr olds and a 1 yr old. Still a lot of fun. They can say some of the funniest things and you wonder where did that come from. Jerry is now working in Memphis and drives every day. Our plan is to move our camper closer to him so that he can get a little rest instead of always driving. 3:30 a.m. comes early. He will eventually be in Osceola, AR at the new steel mill when they get it up and running. Sorry more classmates weren't able to make the cruise. It was so much fun. Looking forward to October for the Memphis get together. See ya'll then.
