Robey Willkie French

Hello Class of '90!!! Looooong time, no see!
I guess this is the portion where I tell you what I've been doing for nearly 20 years....

After H.S. I went to "SMSU" where I received my masters in Speech-Language Pathology in 1996. While in graduate school I met my future husband, John, while he was going through engineering schooling at Ft. Leonardwood, MO with the USMC. Following graduation I returned to KC for one year of work and John was then stationed at Parris Island, SC. We were married on May 10, 1997 in KC. We settled in to Beaufort, SC for 2 years where I worked in Hilton Head in several nursing homes and he as an Engineer Asst. with the Public Works Dept. on base until he finished 8 years with the USMC.

We then moved back to John's hometown area of Crisfield, MD where we have resided since April, 1999. I took a job with the public schools working in speech therapy where I still reside. Upon moving to Crisfield, John transferred to the National Guard to drill locally. He began working back at the GM dealership where he once worked prior to leaving for the USMC. We built a home and moved in to it in March, 2002. In Dec., 2002 we had a beautiful baby girl, Delaney. In April, 2003, John was sent to Iraq for 370 days, boots-on-ground. Delaney and I flew solo for those loooong months while he was gone. Thank goodness for family and friends! He returned to MD in May, 2004 from Iraq. After 14 years in the military, he got out. In April, 2005 we had a bouncing baby boy, "Will." We also have the All-American family with our Chocolate Lab, Obie, and our stray cat, "Flip-Flop." To date, John and I have been married 11 years and still going!

I coached the high school varsity softball team for 5 years, have played on different co-ed softball and volleyball teams, and have now begun coaching Delaney's little league team. I haven't been able to play much golf since kids. Can't seem to shake the sports! We do live on the Chesapeake Bay so boating is always in the summer mix, as well!

We've had lots of family and friends that come to visit, especially in the summers. We live within 45 minutes or so from two popular beaches, Ocean City, MD and Assateague, VA. We beach it up every summer. We love the water!
