Today's Featured Biography
Scott Murdock
Technically I graduated from Blue Springs High School, but I was a member of the GVHS Class of 1987 from the middle of 1st Grade through the end of 10th so have always felt more a part of GVHS than BSHS.
When I left GV after the sophomore year I finished my last 2 years of high school at Blue Springs.
After graduation I went to UMKC for several years, drifting from major to major, finally leaving when offered a job at a fledgling web development company. In 1995 my best friend and I co-created The 80s Server (www.80s.com) and enjoyed a brief stint as web celebrities. We sold the site in 1997 and I worked for various online ad agencies over the next several years. Today I am the Director of Technology for a marketing research firm headquartered in downtown Kansas City.
I got married in 1994 and divorced in 2003, no kids. I'm currently in a relationship but do not plan on re-marrying at this time.
My favorite hobbies, almost obsessions, are walking, barhopping, bowling, and karaoke. I take daily walks of 2-3 miles and have taken numerous walks of 20-30 miles or more. I also take a lot of barhopping trips, primarily as an excuse to, for a few minutes, meet interesting new people in places I have never been. I bowl on a league on Tuesday nights and sing karaoke on Wednesday nights. Each of these are written about extensively on my blog.
I've stayed in the KC area and currently live downtown along with my trusty dog.
