Thomas Fauskee
POLITICAL VIEWS: Liberal Social Democrat
RELIGIOUS VIEWS: I believe that religion gets in the way of spirituality. I am following the Buddhist path for spiritual growth. I am a member of the Lake Harriet Spiritual Community in Minneapolis Minnesota. We honor the spiritual truths common to all religions and spiritual paths.
ACTIVITIES: I love my weekly play dates with my grandson Nalin born 9/1/07.
I am working to relegate the violence of war to history of humankind. I am a member of AlliantAction, a group that evolved from the Honeywell project of the 1960's. We are working to stop the production of depleted uranium munitions by Alliant Techsystems (the munitions production spin-off of Honeywell). These munitions are highly radioactive and extremely indiscriminate on the battle field, causing the wide dispersal of radioactive waste that causes serious harm to our soldiers and civilians.
INTERESTS: I write poetry mostly about the human condition and my relationship with those I love.
I enjoy camping in state parks with my pop-up camper.
FAVORITE BOOKS: I have read a lot of Thich Nhan Haan, Deepak Choppra, Eckhart Tolle, and Sylvia Brown. I also like the classics for their artful writing.
FAVORITE MOVIES: I am a sap for any chick flick. I have tired of action films. Give me a good character study and I am a happy camper.
FAVORITE TV SHOWS: I like most PBS programing. Cooking shows, travel shows, and documentaries of all kinds are among my favorites. I also enjoy Family Guy and American Dad.
FAVORITE MUSIC: I like almost all kinds of music. I listen mostly to contemporary pop, folk, country, world music and music from my youth. I don't do gangsta rap.

ABOUT ME: I love my work as a chauffeur and hope to be able to continue this work into retirement when I become eligible for full Social Security benefits. I have two sons grown and married. I have a grandson Nalin born to Steve and Shante in 2007 and a granddaughter Alayna born to Jeremy and Elizabeth in 2008. Being a grandparent is truly the joy of my life. I have been married for 37 years (and hopefully for many more) to the love of my life and our classmate Jean Lundgren. Our home is in a working class neighborhood of South Minneapolis Minnesota located between Lake Nokomis and Minnehaha Falls. I engage in an active meditation practice which helps me gain insight that assists me with my spiritual growth.
I look forward to seeing you at our class reunion in September. It will be fun.
