WOW is all I can say about the turn out for our Friday night 50th class reunion get together. Thanks to each of you for coming and making this so memorable. We had a few singers who graced us with their talent...Alex, Marie and Bob. I think I speak for many of us when I say it was an awesome night and tomorrow will bring many more shared memories, laughs and fun. THANKS Cotter grads of 1965 for making it an evening we will all remember for many years to come.

Today's Featured Biography
Gerald Kamrowski
Many might remember the farmer from Pickwick who raced around Winona in hot new cars, for a few years until the draft caught up with me in 1969. The Navy welcomed the best Sailor since Popeye in May 1969. They even named a rum after me, (just kidding) if you ever heard of Sailor Jerry's Rum. Still have a quart that was given me as a retirement gift from my maintenance crew in Milwaukee, WI Postal Distribution Center.
I found my wife of 44 years in Pickwick, MN while home on leave in 1969 and married her on 71771. We traveled to Corpus Christi, TX where I was stationed. We tried to come home in 1973 when our daughter was born but found that Winona just did not offer jobs and the farm was not what it used to be in 1969. I reenlisted and stayed Active Duty with the Navy until 1983. Our family had seen most of the USA from Texas to California to Washington. Some of the class might remember me as the Navy Recruiter in Winona from 1979 to 1982. When the kids wanted to go to one school, in 1983 I joined the Naval Reserve in LaCrosse while I Dairy Farmed in Pickwick on the home farm.
We enjoyed 10 years with our three children on the farm, when in 1992 the US Postal Service was looking for an electronic tech for which I had 14 years of Naval experience and qualifications. I was the first of eight to be selected but had to move from the farm to Eau Claire, WI. I was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor a year later in Eagan, MN. With Naval Reserve duty and Postal requirements for 24/7 maintenance needs, I retired from Naval Reserve with 26 years of service.
In 1998 I was promoted to Maintenance Engineering Specialist in Charleston, WV. Another move after all the Navy moves, Christine and I left the grown up kids in Hudson, WI and traveled again. The US Postal Service sent me on travels from Alaska to Florida, and New Hampshire to California for training and higher level work.
After West Virginia, I was promoted to Maintenance Manager of Operations in Milwaukee, WI. Four years later moved to Macon, Georgia as Maintenance Manager for the Processing Center here. Milwaukee could not do without me, so they offered me such a great deal to come back and help them again, so I spent couple more years there until I retired in 2010.
I had bought my retirement home here in Georgia where there is VERY little to NO snow, and have since had Anne and Tom follow us to Macon. I still have to get Stephanie and her children to move here so we are all united again.
We now have five grandchildren and one GREAT grandchild. We are fully retired in Macon, GA except for maintaining three houses and two apartments. Along with all that, I foolishly refuse to accept how old I am and take care of three acres of lawns, landscaping and two large vegetable gardens, (the farmer in me will not quit, despite old age).

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
