I have been very fortunate to have taught or been a substitute teacher in the Rochester School District for forty years. I have taught English and German at Mayo, Kellogg and mainly at John Marshall. I had the opportunity to study in Germany and Austria. My wife and I have enjoyed living in Rochester. We have three grandsons also. I enjoy reading, swimming at the Rec Center and hiking. My wife and I belong to a number of groups in Rochester , and we are active in our church. We have a new granddaughter Rebecca Marie. This past fall I celebrated my 40th. year of working at JM. It was also the 50th. anniversary of my being sophomore at JM. The student body asked me to be the Grand Marshal for the Homecoming Parade. I was very grateful for this honor.
