Update to the biography written below: In Jan. 2012 my husband, Les, passed away. The man I loved for 20 years suffers no more. I will always miss him.
I feel lucky to have grown up in the 40's and 50's and to have known many of you. I wouldn't change a thing.
After high school I attended the University of Minnesota for a few years, then quit to work and get married. Later, after my third daughter was born, I did return to college to concentrate on business courses. Most of my working years were spent at General Mills' corporate headquarters.
My first husband and I lived in California during the late 60's and early 70's. Two of our daughters were born in Los Angeles and shortly after that we returned to Minnesota to raise our family. In 1993 I married Les and five years later we both took early retirement and moved to Arizona. For 11 years we traveled back and forth between Minnesota and Arizona each spring and fall. My husband now suffers from advanced Multiple Sclerosis and for this reason, in 2009 we again became full-time residents of Minnesota. Although adjusting to winter has not been easy, we're happy to be close to our families. It's good to be here. I love Minnesota -- always have.
I have been blessed with good health and love spending time with my daughters and my five grandchildren. I also enjoy walking, biking, golf, yoga and reading.
Thank you, reunion committee, for all your hard work in planning the event and for maintaining this on-line memory book.
