After having graduated from WO, I had two more years of schooling to graduate in Denmark.
In 73 I started medical school in Copenhagen. At the same time I was in the music school of Copenhagen, singing opera and the like.
Did alot of travelling during study years, as well as working to make money.
I graduated in 1980, worked in different places in Denmark, including the Faroe Isles. After a couple of years I went to work in Zambia (Africa), where I worked as medical officer in a small district hospital.
During the stay I meet my wife Doreen, and daughter Juliet came along (great joy), and even Caspar was born here. Having worked under these circumstances, added alot to personal experience.
In 1985 we came back to Denmark, and I worked in a couple of places, not really being content after having worked in Africa.
From childhood I have been coming regularly to Sweden, and I speak Swedish. The jump to move was easy. Working climate much better than Denmark. As time passed I became a consultant in surgery at the local hospital in Ljungby. I am 67 yrs now and here you retire when you are 65. I still work halftime and intend to do so the year out and maybe another year.
During all this time the kids have grown up, and we have two grandchildren (2 and 4), they have added gold to life, to put it mildly.
Besides working, I enjoy the piano playing and opera-singing; I am very active in the garden, with focus on historical plants; I have a collection of historical lamps and stoves (yes, I am a member of the American "Rushlight Club")
I am very much into historical building tradition (including American); I enjoy astronomy and celestial navigation; I have a physics laboratory in the basement with majot interest in electric and atomic physics; I like to look in my historical microscopes; and alot more actually.
Fifteen miles from here, we have an old house in the forest with a big land needing work too. In the old kitchen I bake bread in the big woodfired behive oven.
I do not need to sit idle ever!!!
