Today's Featured Biography
Laurie Eberts Carson
Since high school, my proudest accomplishments are raising my 3 wonderful children, my marriage of 28 years to my best friend, and remaining close friends with some very special people, who I have know since my school days. I can't wait until next spring when my first grand daughter is due..yeah!
Through the years. I have held a variety of jobs. They include Coin Collector for Michigan Bell, Pre-School Teachers Assistant, Waitress, Bartender, Greenhouse Manager, Sales clerk, and craft instructor at a 5 & 10 variety store, Professional Plant care specialist (yes, there is such a thing), Clerk at an Antique store, Stained glass business, and craft store. I am currently working at St. Julian Winery, which is one of the most "fun" jobs I have ever held. Who knew that people from all over the world would stop in and buy wine?!?
My interests are traveling..be it the back roads of Michigan, Chicago, Detroit, New York, or through out the United States. I enjoy gardening (in my yard, and with the Master Gardener Associations misc. projects); Music (if you are in Ann Arbor, check out Lady Sunshine and the X-band); and Reading, (misc subjects, and with my book club).
It was great fun attending our 35 year class reunion this past summer. We shared a connection with each other that I can compare with a family reunion...such warmth and affection...it was wonderful! I have enjoyed re-connecting with old school mates, and I am looking forward to our next reunion.
