In the beginning, God created Jeff . . . on second thought lets fast forward to 1990 and skip al lot of that historical bio stuff. I'll spare everyone my international modeling experiences, conquering Everest and my recent unfortunate foray into hot air balooning (I swear that kid was in the baloon!)
After high school I went to KU and had seven fantastic years of Jayhawkdom (BA '94; JD '97), and in the meantime met my wife Michele there. I moved to Andover, KS after graduation to be an Asst. County Attorney for two years. I got married and moved to Kansas City, where I have been practicing civil litigation ever since.
We have two great kids (Donivan - age 6; Lauren - age 2.5), and reside in Lenexa, Kansas. I truly believe in working to live, and not the other way around, so in my spare time I root for the Jayhawks (Rock Chalk!) and Yankees (#27!), garden, hunt, swim and do triathlons.
Life has truly been good to me since high school - for example, this Christmas, Santa got me an 18 year old (bottle of Scotch). I personally find that she is best enjoyed while playing "Nerf gun" with my son, and/or "tea party" with my daughter. However, when I realize the 18 year old didn't even exist when we were in high school, it makes me feel like a dirty old man.
On a serious note, I am truly looking forward to the reunion. I admittedly don't do enough to stay in touch, so this is a great opportunity to get reconnected. I hope EVERYONE can make it. In my opinion, my best memories (good or bad) of high school are not the athletic events, the teachers, the classes, or (God forbid) the school itself, but the friends and acquaintences from those four years.
I'm looking forward to seeing many of the people with whom I've lost touch, and can't wait to introduce you to the new 18 year old that I got from Santa. (Hands off Chris and Jason - SHE'S MINE!!!)
