Today's Featured Biography
Mikel George
I reside near Bloomington, in the rural, northwest portion of Monroe county. I live in a cabin, surrounded by many types of fauna and flora. Have lived in Denver, Colorado, during the mid 80's, and moved to L.A., California from late 80's to mid 90's. Returned to Indiana to be close to my parents, during their golden years. Since I've been back, I have lost my brother, Marc, at age 47; and my father, Max, at age 69. My mother, Janet, and my sister, Jerilyn still reside in Kokomo. Jerilyn returned for the same reasons, after living in her favorite place, Colorado, for 22 years. I currently enjoy serving the masses, who come for miles to eat at the Uptown Cafe, located in Bloomington, Indiana (102 E. Kirkwood Avenue). Would welcome you to try Michael's cuisine, and perhaps see you there ( or better yet, serve your table, if ever you're down this way ). No photograph included; I have never been very photogenic, and the mirror is my worst enemy these days-Ha! Boy, what time can do! My life is very simple, down-home, and very "old-manish". I love to read mysteries,and horror stories, cook a country fare, and write, and create artwork. Just beginning the computer, at this late date (Ah! Behold the Dinosaur!). Love to hike, and bird watch; enjoy every Season. Southern Indiana seems to suit me. Nature, and simple, cozy pleasures are the beautiful things in my life, besides the members of my loving family. Not married, childless; though I dearly love kids. Others may have info, or photos, as I recently attended the 35th class reunion. I thank all involved for a terrific time--glad to see so many familiar faces. Not much eventful in my life. So this is the Bio, which I offer to you, at this time, June,2011.
