A positive thought about reunions

Today's Featured Biography
Cliff Stabler
This may read as though Carole and I are Gypsies.
We have ministered in the inner city of Los Angeles, a super-suburb of San Francisco, the cranberry bogs of Massachusetts, the island of Key Biscayne FL, and the arts and military community of the Monterey Peninsula, CA.
We were surprised in the 1980s to end up equipping people for ministry behind the Iron Curtain -- specifically Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Latvia, and Russia. Yes, all under-cover. Arrested once.
Then, we sensed God's call to provide pastoral care and encouragement to missionaries who serve in remote locations around the globe with Wycliffe, an organization which translates the Bible into hundreds of languages, but also provides medical care and community development (e.g. safe drinking water), writes educational materials, starts new churches, and trains leadership.
Carole is a UCLA graduate, a professional artist, a published poet, a valued friend by women spend time with her, and my life-long treasure.
Our daughter, Michelle-Marie, is married to a university political science professor. Much to our surprise, she became a Master Naturalist, and is conversant with all things in God's creation.
We live in the northern part of San Diego County, CA, only three miles from the Pacific. Carole enjoys waves and I enjoy mountains.
We provide hospitality in our home and guided retreats at local facilities for the hundreds of people we met overseas.
No, we are not retired because our lives are too full.
For example, my wife's book, "Night Train to Transylvania" is listed on amazon.com under Carole F. Stabler. I used to write a number of journal and newspaper articles, but now I've turned to books, both hard-cover and soft. My titles include:
Solitude
Into The Wilderness
Listen To The Quiet
Sing-Sing: The Dance, Splendor in Papua New Guinea
If youi request it, I can give you the link to view each book on-line.
We have vacationed in Austria, New England, and Canada recently, but have run out of new places we want to see, since our work took us to 61 countries. During those trips, we thrived on such disparate locations as Iguacu Falls and the Pantanal (Brazil), Milford Sound (New Zealand), Andes (Colombia and Peru), the world's largest mosque (Morocco), the Kremlin (Moscow), the Edinburgh Festival (Scotland), Monet's Garden (France), the same locations where the earthquake (Haiti) and floods (Pakistan) caused so much devastation in 2010, the Costswolds (U.K.), Norwegian fjords, the Iron Curtain, penguins scampering from the sea to their burrows in SE Australia, the endless Sahara, the beginning of political and economic transformation in China, and the mighty Amazon.
We consider ourselves rich in experiences and relationships.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
