Today's Featured Biography
Burton Streicher
After graduation from Northwestern University with a BSEE I was commissioned in the Navy and spent the next 26 years on active duty. Moved about every three years until we got stuck in Washington, DC. Lived in Madrid, Spain and Yokosuka, Japan for three years each. Also deployed to Guam and Rota, Spain with a SeaBee battalion. We spent three years each in Warminister, PA and Newport, RI. Two years in Great Lakes, IL where I met Deb. The Navy also sent me to University of Florida for a year to get my Masters in Civil Engineering. I got my Professional Engineer license from Wisconsin and Illinois about the same time. After returning from Japan we settled down in DC and have been here for almost 16 years. After retiring from the Navy, I went to work for 6 months with the Center for Naval Analyses in Alexandria, VA but got lured away by big business and became a SVP for Facilities Management in the Schools Division of Sodexho Marriott which became just Sodexho after a couple of years. It was a lot of fun working with school districts all over the country, but got tired of airplane travel and went back to CNA to work as a research analyst. Sodexho did allow me to get my doctorate in business management through the International Management Centres Association which is located in Buckingham, England. Got to go to Helsinki in 2004 to receive it. What a great experience. Our oldest, John married his high school sweetheart in 2000 and now we have two grandsons, Zachary (5) and Matthew (3). They live in St Louis and he works in management for UPS. Our middle son Jeffrey is graduating this week from George Mason University with his Masters in Biology and will be entering the University of Texas at Arlington this summer to start his PhD program in Evolutionary Biology. He is really into frogs and snakes. Our youngest son will be entering George Mason University in August and hopes to major in communications. So we will be empty nesters come August. We intend to come to the reunion so hope to see many of you there.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
