Today's Featured Biography
Roger Jones
Following retirement from the United States Air Force in 1992, Roger was director of admissions for the State Bar of Nevada for two years. Thereafter, he became very active in the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. He was a founding member of the Southern Nevada Chapter and served as the Chapter’s president (chairman of the board) for three years. He is presently in his third term on the Board of Visitors for his law school (University of Illinois) and is active in the United Methodist Church. He also has served for 18 years on the Board of Trustees for the Air Force Judge Advocate General’s School Foundation, which raises funds for Air Force “law school” projects when government funds are not authorized, such as honorarium for guest speakers. He was president of the Foundation for ten years.
Roger and his wife, Lin, celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on October 24. He has two children and nine grandchildren (ages 1 month to 25 years). His favorite activities include: the grandchildren, skiing, SCUBA diving, travel and reading. He and Lin have traveled extensively in the United States, Asia, Europe and Central America. His favorite spot: Zion National Park in Utah.
