Today's Featured Biography
Betsy Alstad Lockhart
When last we met, I was heading west to attend Colorado School of Mines. I married my soul-mate, another CSM engineer, in 1980. After graduating in Geophysical Engineering, I worked as a seismic data processor for Western Geophysical in Denver for a year before moving to Amoco Production Company as an Exploration Geophysicist. For ten years I located oil and gas reserves in Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and Oklahoma and it was a total HOOT. After our children were born, I needed something a bit tamer and closer to home, so I became a Montessori Elementary Director. I taught 4th and 5th grades for 10 years at the wonderful Montessori school in our mountain community. During this time, I also became a teacher-trainer in Boulder. I retired from classroom teaching in 2004, because Mom moved to Evergreen after Dad died, and she needed more help than I could provide while teaching. She will be 90 in March 2008! Our eldest is a Freshman at University of Denver and our youngest is a Freshman at Evergreen High School. They are the lights of our lives! I still teach teachers in the summers and mentor 3 new teachers each year. I work extensively with my church in various capacities: cantor, teen education and fundraising, parish council, and so on. I sing and play fiddle and mandolin in a folk group that is mostly people from the church. Life is good!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
