I graduated from Ohio University with a degree in English and minors in Education and Speech. Unfortunately, during student teaching I decided that I didn't like teenagers. So much for my teaching career! I interviewed with Illinois Bell and getting that job in 1966 started my 44 year career in business. I spent most of those years in sales, sales, management, and corporate training. Not once have I regretted leaving teaching for business especially since I ended up training adults, instead of kids.
After living in Arlington Heights, IL for over 40 years, we moved to Tellico Village in Loudon, TN in 2015. Who can complain about mountains, lakes, and a golf course right outside of the door? This place is prefect for active retirees who were sick of high taxes, lots of traffic, and a dysfunctional state government. TN has its issues too, but at least they are different.
Our daughter Deena and her family live in Richmond, VA. Taylor (13 going on 21) and Zach (10) keep us up-to-date on music, new words, and world cup soccer.
