Today's Featured Biography
Margie Davis Riordan
After graduating from EPCHS, I headed north to Evanston to attend Northwestern. While there I met my husband, Tom Riordan. We got married shortly after graduation in August, 1978, and moved to West Lafayette, IN, where Tom received his MSIA from Purdue while I worked for WASK radio writing commercials. We returned to the Chicago area in 1979 and I started working for the Spiegel Catalog. In 1981 daughter Maureen was born, and in 1983 we bought a house in Glen Ellyn. Daughter Kate was born in 1985, and son John in 1987. I retired from Spiegel at that time. We started moving around in 1989 following Tom's career: Racine, WI; Paris, France (90); Glen Ellyn, IL (91); Lake Oswego, OR (94); Bloomfield Hills, MI (96); Charlotte, NC (05); New Canaan, CT (07);Appleton, WI ('11). Tom retired in 2018, and we are now Floridians. Our children are all grown, and all attorneys. We have seven grandchildren: Tommy ('09), Lucy ('12), Nathan ('15), Clare ('17), Jack ('19), Leo ('22), and Siena ('23).
