Today's Featured Biography
Roger Johnson
Add me to your joke list or send me your life stories. Either way I would be glad to share them with you... yes, you.
Happily married for a while and happily divorced twice. Well, I'm happy, I'm sure they are too. 16 years all together, about 8 years each. No plans in the foreseeable future to do that again. Single for 6 years in between and for almost 8 so far this time.
I’m in a nice little house on the edge of some woods in Connecticut. Look at any New England photo and that’s where I am. Drop by and hang out in the hot tub for our next snowstorm.
Currently caring for a dozen or more cats. 3 in and out and the rest think they are wild but we know better. There was more but I finally got them all fixed and now they are starting to dwindle down in numbers.
Life is great. The world is a beautiful place. You’ll need to turn off your T.V. to see it.
Peace.
The Resume
Trimmed trees for Davey Tree after High School until 1982. I've been in the top of some of Dupage county's biggest trees. Record Linden, White Oak, and others I'm sure. Installed drain tubes, cables, and lighting rods. Trimmed all the trees in the Chicago Art Institute. (even the one in the courtyard next to the multi-million dollar stained glass window.) Cool job swinging through trees. (Everybody that was 40 years old and still climbing trees was a little crazy, exit stage left.)
Took some courses at COD. Joined the Air Force from 1982 to 1986 as an Inertial Navigation Avionics Technician. Stationed in San Francisco Bay Area 3 1/2 years. More College for electronics. FCC Radio Telephone and Ships RADAR license. Began playing with personal computers and code writing for hobby.
Logistics Engineer for Sikorsky Aircraft, worlds largest helicopters, write (dream up) maintenance procedures, tools, skills, and costs. On the Programs team and put in front of large audiences providing technical status for helicopters on board aircraft carriers. Travel up to 30 times a year around the country. San Diego, Jacksonville, Pensacola, and D.C. They wanted to dress me up and put me in the Progam Office but I had to try plan B. 1986 - 1993
Run computer consulting business. Build PC's and Install networks and developed database applications for law firms, real estate management and campaign committees. A guy from Sikorsky turned out to be the Governors childhood buddy and opened this doorway. 1993 - 2000
The second happy divorce put an end to working for great compensation on my terms and I wound up back at Sikorsky Aircraft building database applications to organize logistic information. They finally through a few million dollars at an application I thought they should build 12 years ago and wanted some help. They love me here.
2000 - Now.
The Personals
I grew up camping so I have been in just about every state and every national park before I was 12.
Lived in the Caribbean on a 48 foot ocean going sailboat for a few months before joining the Air Force. Thanks to the first wife's fathers retirement planning. Daily snorkling, Flasher flying, hanging out. Two kids with her, I think they are mine... You never know for sure. Didn't last long. Her heart was always there in the Islands and when the oldest was 6 she bailed out to go live there with a boyfriend she already had there. She never returned to say Hi or let me see the kids. Must have been something I said.
Took up Hang Gliding to get over that. Did that for 6 years. Very cool. Some say it's better then sex. Major commitment in time. Highest altitude 2200 feet. Longest aloft 1 hour 10 minutes. Almost killed twice.
The second wife I found at Sikorsky. A fellow hippie coffee drinking computer geek type. Her son, didn't live with us, decided to be a career criminal and robbed everyone to support his needs. You can only put up with so much of that, as an outsider in the family you can only do so much, and then its time to go (or throw them out). To bad, I really liked her.
Hooked up now with some musicians and some Dead Heads to spend free time with. Down to earth. A little wild. Got to Party with the Wailer's (Bob Marley) a couple times in the "band room". Go to friends gigs, local shows and music festivals often. Spend free time in country, up-state NY, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine. Tampa to see Mom.
Life is Great. Don't let it run you over. It's not worth it. Peace.
P.S.
This is just the tame stuff everyone knows. I'm saving the juicy stuff for you.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
