I am a research scientist investigating enzymes important in cancer, tissue damage, wound healing, tissue growth, tissue differentiation, heart disease, cell death, traumatic brain injury, etc. I have published about 100 paper in various scientific journals in my 40-year career as a scientist.
My lab is located at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in San Francisco, which is perched on a cliff facing the Golden Gate entrance to San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Pacific Ocean.

Regrets-
Not buying a house in San Francisco in the 70's or 80's. A few hundred thousand $ then, would have given me a $1-2,000,000 gold mine today. Oh well. What a long strange trip it's been.
