Where have the 40 years gone? My parents will soon be celebrating their 60th high school reunion. I can’t even imagine! I guess that one will sneak up on all of us, too!
Time has flown by since 1967! Although Tom and I do not have children of our own, children have always been a part of our lives. We have been blessed with many incredible nieces and nephews that we try to spoil as often as possible. I have also been blessed, (well, not always), teaching over a thousand students in the past 34 years. These children have definitely touched my heart. I have loved seeing the children laugh and have fun learning. I have loved their smiles, hugs, and "I love you's". What a difference these children have made in my life!
Since I retired in June I have many plans to look forward to. A trip to the Orient? Spending some time studying the penguins in Antarctica? Going on a dinosaur dig? Well, maybe not, but it's nice to dream. I do have plans with friends and family to look forward to. I also have plans to tickle the ivories once again --- it's definitely been too long. Anyone up for a rerun of some of OUR 40 year old "High School Musicals...? We always had such a good time!
