Today's Featured Biography
Marsha Clayton France
After graduating from high school, I attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and then married Steven March 27, 1964. We have 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. My husband has farmed all of our married life and in 1986, I went back to college to finish my nursing degree and then went back again in 2002 to get the Bachelor Degree.
I worked at EIRMC in Idaho Falls, Idaho in the Pediatric Department for 25 years and recently retired on May 11, 2013 and am enjoying having a little more spare time for activities with my husband, children, and grandchildren.
We have enjoyed some travel time together and hope for more as the future unfolds. Our children are planning something special this coming year when we will celebrate 50 years of 'wedded bliss' on March 27, 2014.
I enjoy cross stitch, sewing, reading, shopping with my daughters and granddaughters, piano playing and have started to see if I have any artistic talent in the way of water color and oil painting.
I am hoping that Steven and I will have the health and wherewithall to serve a mission for our church as this has been a life long dream of mine.
As my life has unfolded over the years, it has certainly held a miriad of surprises from what I hoped and imagined it might, but somehow, we have been very forunate and blessed to survive and even thrive through the many challenges that normal life brings to each and all of us. I hope I am learning all that I can and should from these experiences to become the person I hope to be someday. Life is great and each new day is a special blessing!
