Sad to report Dan McCool passed away May 4
From the Des Moines Register: Wrestling writer Dan McCool, who was as respected and well-known as the athletes and coaches he covered in the sport, died Monday. He was 60 years old.

Today's Featured Biography
Sarah Burt Barrick
Ok, to sum things up…
1987 – 1999 lived in Iowa City, IA (loved it)
1999-2001 lived in Okemos, Michigan (loved it)
2001-2006 moved back to Iowa City (loved it)
August 2006 moved to College Station, Texas (getting use to it).
March 2016 moved to Austin, TX (life is good)
I am still working with the right side of the brain as a freelance web designer. Murray is utilizing every bit of gray matter on the left side of his brain as Department Head and Professor in the Business College at Texas A&M University. Together things fall into place quite nicely.
Murray accepted a position at Texas A&M University the summer after our oldest graduated from high school, so we moved and she stayed. Go figure. Courtney, (born 12/1987), is a sophomore at the University of Iowa in History/Cinematography. She loves UI and doesn’t seem to mind that her parents are 16 hours away at all. Jennifer (born 12/1990), our youngest, is a junior in High School this year. Thought we would have a trauma case on our hands moving her during high school, but she loves Texas. Go figure, again. Texas has certainly been an interesting and strange place. I no longer make fun of Texans wearing cowboy boots. After seeing a number of poisonous snakes, annoying little scorpions, and experiencing fire ants, I now respect the boot!
