Today's Featured Biography
Faye Stone Haynes
About two months after we graduated, I married Alfred Walker. We lived in Tift County, worked on our farm, and Alfred also did crop dusting. After 11 ½ years of marriage, Alfred died when the small airplane he was flying crashed.
About 2 years later, I married Bobby Hall. After approximately one year of marriage, Bobby was killed when he had an accident in the van he used to transport flowers to area florists.
For 5 ½ years, my young son, Danny, and I lived in Valdosta. I attended Valdosta Technical School where I studied Data Processing and Accounting. I then worked at Arts Commission in Valdosta for approximately 2 years.
We then moved back to Tifton in 1979 and I worked at ABAC for a couple of years. Then a friend told me about someone he knew from World War II. They had been stationed in the Philippines together. His name was Paul Haynes and he lived in Pennsville, NJ. To make a long story short, we met and got married in 1980, and thus another move for my son and I – this time to New Jersey, where we still live. Paul retired from DuPont after working there 38 years. He passed away November 16, 2006 from cancer of the bone marrow.
I worked full-time as a secretary for an accounting firm here in New Jersey for 13 years and then part-time during tax season for an additional 9 years. I also worked as secretary at the church I attend (Pennsville Church of the Nazarene) for 5 years and retired from that job in March, 2014.
I have had some sad times in my life, but also many happy times. The most important thing is that I found the Lord in 1976. I realize now that He was looking after me even before I turned to Him. He has blessed me with children and grandchildren here in New Jersey, in Florida and in Chicago. I came from a large family (11 children). Three brothers and one sister are deceased; but I still have 6 brothers and sisters (and their families) living in and near Tifton.
I stay busy with my family (children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren), church activities, and taking care of my home and my golden retriever, Lily.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
