William Wiley
Dr. William Lloyd Wiley is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Worldwide AIDS Coalition, Inc., a nonprofit transnational NGO based in the Bay Area outside of San Franscisco. Dr. Wiley is the founder and CEO of EquitAbility, LLC, a middle market Investment Bank headquartered in Charlotte, NC, with offices in San Francisco, Houston and representation in Shanghai, China.
Respected for his transaction experience and work in life sciences, he has led many initiatives to fund healthcare, biopharma, biotech, and life sciences companies. He currently sits on the boards of several companies and acts as an advisor to a select number of client companies. His expertise has been instrumental in constructing a number of strategic partnerships.
Dr. Wiley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University In addition to holding a Ph.D. in counseling psychology, Dr. Wiley has completed additional post-doctoral studies in clinical psychology and neuropsychology from North Carolina State University and has earned an Executive MBA from the Ageno School of Business at Golden Gate University in San Francisco, California.
Prior to Dr. Wiley's work in healthcare consulting and financing, Dr. Wiley held a posistion on staff in a large psychiatric hospital. Dr. Wiley is credentialed and a member of several professional and honor societies. Well respected for his insight into clinical and administrative health care concerns for the twenty-first century, Dr.Wiley spends a great deal of his time looking at new opportunities in life sciences and medical technologies, and has acted as a strategic consultant in Technology Transfer for Yale, Baylor, Vanderbilt, and Auburn University.
The desire to create a Transnational NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) which could streamline the supply chain of support and help for patients suffering from AIDS and HIV began while Dr. Wiley was working on his Masters in Business Administration degree, and was working with various big-pharma companies and recognized that he was in a unique position to affect change in this vital area.
Dr. Wiley's work with pharmaceutical manufacturers, banking and finance professionals, and philanthropists was the catalyst for forming the Worldwide AIDS Coalition
