After graduation from Bass, I spent one semester at the Grady School of Nursing (affiliated with Emory) and took classes at U of Georgia. It was a miserable experience for me and I dropped out. Went to work at Sears on Ponce de Leon.
I had been dating Tom from G. Tech and we married in 1960, and we are still together. Tom went in the Air Force after Tech so we moved around a bit. After one tour in Nam, and 5 and a half years in the service, Tom entered the work civilian work force and again, we moved around a bit. We settled in Louisville, KY in '68, and except for a two year period in Indiana, we have been in Kentucky.
My oldest daughter was born in Atlanta, the next daughter was born in Massachusetts, and my son was born in Louisville.
I was a late bloomer, but I did make it to college in January of '82, got my BS in Sociology in '05 and a degree in law in '08. I worked as lawyer for awhile, then tried a few other things and finished up as a lawyer doing pro bono work.
My parents have been dead for a number of years so I don't visit Atlanta. But I miss it. I had some good years in Atlanta, and had some special friends. But time passes, and I made good friends here in KY. Unfortunately, as we all know, time marches on and age and illness has taken some dear friends here.
I have a website that keeps me busy. It has been open for 6 years and I have made wonderful friends from all over the world. I am not a fan of Face book, nor to I get on Twitter. I became interested in graphics, making them and using them, and that keeps me happily occupied. JJ
