Dr. Robert L. Arnold (Dr. Bob) holds doctorate in Counseling Psychology and a Masters Degree in Professional School Psychology is a Board Certified Professional Counselor and has been a hospice professional since 1994. He is a noted national speaker and author and is presently the Professional Development Coordinator for Psychosocial and Spiritual Care at the Center for Learning at the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. He specializes in end-of-life care with a focus on clinical bereavement work, non-pharmacological approaches to pain and symptom management, community based crisis management strategies and professional ethics. Currently, he is engaged in the study hospice-based models of leadership and culture toward supporting health and well-being in staff and volunteers. He has published numerous book chapters and articles in publications such as “Insights Magazine,” “The Journal of Geriatric Cardiology,” and the “American Nursing Journal” and has been featured on “Medscape.” In addition to his work as a trainer, researcher, and writer, Dr. Bob is president of Psicore Consulting Inc. and maintains a private clinical consulting practice with offices in Palm Harbor and Pasadena Florida. Dr. Bob is a determined advocate for children and families and serves on a variety of community development and academic advisory boards. He is an active member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, The National Council of Hospice and Palliative Care Professionals Research, Academics, and Education Section, The Association for Death Education and Counseling, Mental Health America, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and the Florida Society of Oncology Social Workers. In 1996, Dr. Bob was honored by the Juvenile Welfare Board and was the recipient of the Cooperman-Bogue Award for outstanding service by a mental health professional.
