Today's Featured Biography
Kathleen Buckley
After SCHS, I attended Rosemont College and graduated with a BA in English. I moved to NYC and worked for NBC radio and Buckley Radio Sales (a different Buckley!) then moved to LA in the late 70’s, and worked in movies and television: props and set design at first, later, as a screenwriter. I married in LA and had my son and daughter there. After I divorced, I earned an MA in Human Development at Pacific Oaks College before moving with my children to Santa Fe, NM where I worked as a pre-school teacher and then directed a Life Skills program in the public middle schools for several years. I met my husband, Steve, in 2000. I taught PEN in the Classroom writing workshops in the public schools of Santa Fe, then attended Vermont College of Fine Arts and received an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults. I’m currently at work on a Young Adult novel. My husband works for an international company based in Zurich, and I’ve done quite a bit of world traveling, especially in the last seven years. We recently purchased a condo near Boston, and I now enjoy spending time on the east coast as well as in Santa Fe. Thanks to all who put this together. Looking forward to seeing everyone in October!
