Donna Pavich Ring-Jordan

Since I first wrote my profile, I have retired, gone back to work part time as a manager of H&R Block and realized that I had missed my calling many years ago. My first love was in Math and now I am finally using the skills obtained from my education. I "retired" in 2013 from Canon North America after my company was purchased again by Canon. It originally started out as Pitney Bowes, merged the copier division who I stayed with into another company, Imagistics, and then was purchased by by Oc� International out of the Netherlands. After being "retired" for about 8 months, I realized that full retirement was not my cup of tea, and found H&R Block. I am really enjoying the people I meet, love the tax preparation and the management.

I married Randy Roper (Class of 1965) in 1969. We had two wonderful children Matthew and Sara. We divorced in 1980 and he passed away October 2015. I graduated after many years and many different schools, from the University of Phoenix. Presently working on my masters and hope to finish in a little over a year. Three children, Seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, one great grandson and two step great grandchildren, two dogs and a house with no mortgage. Yay!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2016, it's been too many years for some of us. Looking forward to seeing all of you.

Update from November 2012. I have just been notified that my company will be closing at the end of the year, so it looks like I will find myself among the retired. I have mixed feelings, a little worried, and yet, looking forward to the adventures that await me. Right now, I'm trying to decide if I really want to have another full time job, or maybe work part time, and do volunteer work, or just stick with volunteer. Whatever it ends up being, I know it will be a new and different experience. Looking forward to 2016 (my that seems like a long time from now) for our 50th.

Update December 2013. I was indeed laid off the end of January this year, and really have been enjoying retirement. I have two new grandbabies, Coraline Sledge, born May 1, and Jett Peer, born July 4. I was fortunate to be able to deliver Coraline myself, it was unexpected and truly a gift that I never thought would happen.
Jett came into this world at 28 weeks. His mom, Jill, my daughter, was suffering from HELLPS syndrome, and the only cure was to deliver the baby or she would not have survived. He weighed 3lb 6oz and spent almost three months in the NICU. He then spent another two months on oxygen at home. I am happy to report that he is now off oxygen and has almost tripled his birth weight. I have truly been blessed. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the 50th.
Even though I was not looking for another job, I now find myself managing an H&R Block office, I fell into it by accident, and think it may be the perfect part time job, only three months a year.
Update my husband Bob Jordan passed away February 5 2018 and I have really missed him. We were married almost 21 years and I have to admit it was a wonderful marriage, now to life alone.
Update July 2025, in December I moved to a senior co-op still working a lot of of us are, but it is such a different way of life and I am enjoying it to the fullest. I travel as much as I possibly can and have made some great friends to add to the ones I already have. Looking forward to seeing you all at the next reunion.
