Janice Sweet Kukuk

Following my graduation from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, I became a public health nurse in the Salt Lake County area. After our marriage in 1966, my husband's graduation with his PhD from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and the birth of our first child, a son, we moved to St. Cloud Minnesota, where Bill was a faculty member at St. Cloud State Univeristy. During our forty year stay in the St. Cloud area, we have raised three more children and are now the proud grandparents of nine special grandchildren. One of our greatest enjoyments is traveling and by traveling with my parents when I was young and following our marriage, I have had the opportunity to visit all the states with the exception of Hawaii (Hopefully we are able to visit there this coming winter)all through Canada, Mexico and eleven European countries. From February 2003 to August 2004, my husband and I served as Welfare Services missionaries in the Alaska Anchorage mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During those eighteen months we traveled extensively in Alaska giving firesides and classes on strengthening marriages and families. Life has not always been easy, but we have been very blessed. I am looking forward to our reunion next year and hope to have Laura Campiotti, my Italian sister and foreign exchange student who lived with our family from Italy during our senior year in high school join us at our reunion.
