Today's Featured Biography
David Roark
After graduation from VPHS in 1966 I attended UCI for two years, transferred to UCLA and graduated in 1970 with a BA in political science. Attended University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento 1970-1973. After the bar exam in 1973 I hitchhiked/hiked through Europe for about 2 months until doing 6 months active duty in the army at Ft. Knox, Kentucky Armor School. In 1974 I worked for a defense firm for a year and a half until starting my own law firm in 1975. I became a plaintiff trial lawyer handling primarily personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability cases. Still working by choice, but probably going to semi-retire next year. I married my wife Linda in 1979 and we most recently celebrated our 42nd anniversary.
We have three children ages 34 to 40, with three grandchildren so far, ages 3 months to 6.
We have lived in Laguna Beach since 1992 and have a second home in Evergreen, Colorado. We manage to split our time between the two locations since we love both the beach and the mountains. Hiking, golf, jeep off-roading, and starting pickleball keep us busy, but travel is a prominent part of our life. Linda was a flight attendant for the first 10 years of our marriage and since then has worked in the hospitality field. We have had the good fortune to travel all over the world. Our health is good and we feel blessed to be able to spend time with family and friends in Laguna Beach and Evergreen.
