Today's Featured Biography
Tamara Houston Archibald
I started out as a very young "homemaker", raised my kids, went to school off and on, majoring in art. Worked in the aerospace industry for 12 years, retired to Oregon. In Oregon have been involved with art galleries in the Rogue River area, both in paid positions and as a volunteer. I also work in a retail women's boutique because I still love clothes! I have made many friends here and they enrich my life so much. My interests are still in art, and I knit fancy things for the boutique and sell quite a few items. In Oregon it's a lot colder, there are 4 seasons, so we actually wear knitted items.
We live on the edge of a forest, it's very beautiful, lots of animals you don't see in Torrance. My husband Don is a retired engineer, an animal lover, and good at lots of things. He loves cars and takes good care of my Bullitt Mustang. It's a pretty cool car for a soon to be great-grandma (oh, that sounds so old). He has built many nice cars over the years but this one is pretty much "all done". He's been a great husband, my second, for almost 30 years.
Life is not always easy, but worth living and I am definitely glad to be here. I still remember all the classmates from THS, and am sad to think of those who are no longer with us. Love to all!
