Debra Weeks Whitaker

I have worn many hats over the years. I started at Mc Donalds then on to being a receptionist for a small optical shop, then a Kelly Girl which landed me a permanent job at Todd Shipyards in San Pedro. I strted as a file clerk and worked my way up to accounts payable and then to person in charge of getting payments ready for data progessing. It was a huge responsibility. I eventually quit to work for my boyfriends family. When that business went under I worked payroll for a neumatic tools company and eventually ended up working at Levitz Furniture in Redondo Beach. First as a cashier and then a merchandising clerk. I left there when I became pregnant with my first child. I was a housewife and mother from then until I got a job as a noon duty supervisor at my kids elementary school in 1992. I worked there until 2001.

I've lived in 3 different places in Torrance, lived in Carson, North Long Beach/Compton area, Bloomington and now the high desert. I guess I have gone from being a beach bunny to being a desert rat!

I married in 1982, gave birth to my first child in 1984 and then to twins in 1986. I seperated in 1995 and divorced 1997. I remarried in 2001 and now live in Apple Valley and I love it up here! Now I am housewife, mother, and a web mistress.
