Today's Featured Biography
Don Houk
After graduation I completed my BA and Master's degrees in 1973, from the State University Hayward.
My first job after college was with Memorex. After four years I started work with Ford Aerospace, which was acquired by Loral Aerospace, which was also acquired by Lockheed Martin Aerospace. I retired from Lockheed in 2012 after 36 total years in the aerospace business. My last assignment was Director Human Resources at the Sunnyvale facility.
My wife and I have two daughters, Amy who lives with her family in northern California, and Alyssa, and her husband live in Campbell, California. Amy has two sons Payton who is 11, and Austin who is 7.
In 2012 my wife and I traveled to Turkey for Alyssa's wedding, and then spent two weeks seeing the country. A great place to visit, not what I expected. Three months after returning home we had a second wedding for the same daughter for family and friends in California. Long story short, there isn't conflict with either country's laws as relates the marriages.
In 2014 my wife and I with a group of friends spent three weeks sight seeing in Europe. We started in Holland, and then traveled to Germany, France, Switzerland, and finished in Italy. We were ready to come home, foreign travel is great, home is better.
This May we will be spending two weeks in Washington DC, and New York weeing the sights in our own country. We already have plans started for 2016 to spend three weeks in Great Briton.
