Today's Featured Biography
Willard Meyer
I have been married over 50 years to the same wonderful women Judy and have a son Ben and a daughter Rebecca; both having travelled the world with us until they left home to make their own lives. Both graduated college, son at Stanford, daughter at Juilliard-NY, and Southern Oregon University-Ashland. Rebecca is soon to be married in Ticonderoga NY where they met at a Star Trek internet film shoot. Rebecca as lead actress and fiance, Mark, was the director. A second wedding is planned in California. I'll have to go back to work! Anyone got a job? :)
My varied work, which enveloped my life, took us all over the world, and enabled us all to experience exciting locations, cultures and to meet new friends and made life exciting and always a learning experience. During the 36.8 years of work with Dept of Defense I went all over the world with different organizations from the design and fielding of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle @ Defense Plant Representative Office-FMC San Jose CA; the buildup of Pre-positioned material at CEGE-Mannheim Germany; back to DPRO-FMC in San Jose for the Bradley Digitization Upgrade; on to Environmental Engineering and the repositioning and relocating of Combat Equip Grp Europe HQ (Mannheim FRG to Kerkrade NL) and downsizing of Prepo Material at CEG-E-Kerkrade Netherlands; on to site-storage-location research with General Abrams Jr in Kaposvar on site in Hungary after the wall came down in 1989; then, I was selected for Command Group 2000 with involvement in systems reliability and systems acquisition management at PM Night Vision and PM Physical Security Equipment-Ft Belvoir VA then getting an MS degree at Naval Postgraduate School -Monterey CA (2001); then selected to be the reliability engineer for all the Army's testing of ammunition, missiles, and development testing of guided mortars and guided howitzers at Army Evaluation Center-Aberdeen MD; then Lead Systems Engineer at DCMA Boeing-Seattle WA involved in the design, testing and fielding of the Navy's Poseidon Aircraft by Boeing, and then I finished my government career at Department of Public Works Presidio of Monterey having been involved as the Engineering Construction Manager in the design and building of three multi-million dollar General Instructional Buildings, also Barracks, Admin Facilities, Dining Facilities and renovation of many 100+ year old historic Army facilities at the Presidio of Monterey. I also installed over 1200 toilets and urinals at the Presidio saving millions of gallons of water which allowed the Army to get construction authorization in Monterey county for all the new construction we accomplished. And that wasn't all, in my early career I had 10 years with G.E., as Advanced Manufacturing Engineer at Large Lamp, St. Louis, and the Motor Plant-San Jose and G.E. Nuclear-in Wilmington, NC where I was involved in the development and testing of the new 8X8 nuclear fuel bundle. I had 4 years as Engineering & Production Mgr with Tempress a unit of General Signal Corp. in Los Gatos CA, and 3 years with the Army in the Army Security Agency as a morse code intercept operator, at Torii Station Okinawa.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
