Today's Featured Biography
Arlene Johnson Ruddy
Hello to anyone interested in finding out what I've been up to! Four years after graduating, I gave up waiting for my knight in shining armor to show up, so I went back to college and graduated from Sonoma State in 1988 with a nursing degree. Two weeks later I married my wonderful husband, David, and we moved to Florida for my first Coast Guard experience. Great place to be a newlywed, bought our first home, etc. Then transferred to Chicago, had our first baby, then transferred back to California, had two more babies! Our last duty station was in Kodiak, Alaska, and my husband retired in 2000. We are now settled in Conifer, Colorado, and we just love it here. We live outside of Denver, at 8500ft, and are still doing the finish work of the log home we built in the mountains. Our boys attend a small high school in Conifer, about 800 students, both of them play football, wrestling and track, and they are officially the first male cheerleaders - fun. My daughter is being homeschooled through middle school, she will be in 8th grade this year. I worked as a nurse for the last 23 years, now teaching in a nursing program at Regis University. My husband is a safety consultant for a private firm, and we have been happily married for 21 years now. We are active in our church, have traveled through many births and deaths in our families, and are just happy to wake up each day to see what the Lord has in store for us. I hope your life has been as blessed since graduating from our beloved Vintage High!
