Today's Featured Biography
Alan Ludwig
Wow - what have I done and where have I been for all these years. After Bishop Amat, I attended Santa Clara and graduated with a degree in Business/Economics in 1968, and having been involved in the Santa Clara ROTC program, a commission as a 2LT in the Army. I received a short deferment and attended USC and received an MBA in 1969. Then I put two years in the Army, with training at Fort Knox (Armor school), Jungle school (Fort Sherman in the Panama Canal Zone), and tours at Ft Leonard Wood Missouri, and Vietnam with the 17th Combat Aviation Group. After that, I returned home and worked for Santa Fe International as an accountant, and for fun, learned my private pilots license and Scuba certifications. After a couple of years, while working for Zurn Engineers,I was sent to Ecuador, where I worked for two years as a project manager on a water infrastructure project in the province of Manabi (wished I had paid more attention in Spanish class!). After returning home, I met on a blind date my wife Judy, and we have been married for 36 years. We have two children, Emily and Andrew - both who live for the moment in Orange County. As of now, no grand children, unlike so many of my peers and classmates!
I have had for many years, my own Engineering Contracting company, and after all these years, still enjoy the work. I travel a lot on hunting and vacation trips, enjoy scuba diving, underwater photography, reading, hunting, vintage sports cars, and last but definitely not least, my family. I have been so blessed with my family and friends
