Wendy Frawley Trilling
Hi gang! Well, this is fun... thanks, Kev!
I, like many others, made the right choice and went to UCLA (just teasing, 'SCers) and received my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art and Design. While I was there I met my husband, Steven, while I was the Bruin mascot and he played trumpet in the Marching Band. (Now you understand the Bruin loyalty.) We later married in August, 1997.
I first went to work for Foote, Cone & Belding/Los Angeles, an advertising agency, as an Art Director and worked on Sunkist, the US Forest Service, Westfield Malls, but most of all, Mattel, making TV commercials. I stayed at FCB for 7 1/2 years until I went freelance for the next 2 1/2 years, working from home and enjoying my babies. I still worked on Mattel, only I transitioned into writing and directing commercials as well. Finally, I succumbed to the call of the agency and went back full time, spending 6 years at Ogilvy & Mather, 3 at Y & R, and now I'm with Pereira & O'Dell, working on, you guessed it, Mattel, as a Copywriter and Art Director. I really like it, I get to play with toys and kids, draw pictures and write songs all day, and travel to Vancouver, Canada for shoots a lot. The kids like it too, as we have mountains of toys.
Steven is awesome and the love of my life. He's the stay at home parent, taking care of the three kids and also working from home as a partner in his own advertising agency, Point Group Ideas. We live in Culver City (since 1998) and love it. All of our family live nearby and we see them weekly. Like everyone else, life is busy with three kids and work, but we find lots of time to laugh, travel, and have fun.
I still keep in touch with pretty much all of the old gang - Shay, Cynthia, Kelly, Tara, Carolyn, Nina, Ingrid, Sheryl, etc. - but I do think of you all often and wonder how you are. Looking forward to our reunion and reconnecting with some of you!
