Today's Featured Biography
Cris Pargee New
I was married in 1993 to John New. (That's 14 years- hard to believe!) I got my BA in English Lit. from Cal State San Bernardino in 1994 and finished my credentials for secondary teaching at the University of New Mexico in 1995. I have taught full time in several districts in the High Desert and Inland Empire. Currently, I am working part time as a Homebound/Hospital teacher for Victor HS District.(This is a one on one teaching situation for students with severe illness or injury.)
John and I have lived here in the desert, in Albuquerque, NM (when he was in the Air Force), up in northern CA near Sacramento (Rocklin), and just this August, we moved back to our home in Victorville.
John has been in ministry for about 9 years, serving as music director and just recently, the worship pastor at Inland Hills Church in Chino Hills. We will be moving down there after the first of the year.
We have not had any children due to many years of severe health problems for me, but are finally ready to start our own family or adopt within the next 6 months.
I love to travel (recent trips include England and Paris,Maui -my folks have a condo there- we try to go once a year,and a Caribbean cruise), read, SCUBA dive, go to concerts and spend time with family.
Well, that's my last 17 years in a nutshell. I hope to hear from some of you!
