Today's Featured Biography
Deborah Miller Kanda
I have lived in Culver City since 1975, right down the street from Sony Studios and I do live on the old MGM lots. Culver City is a lovely community and about 7 miles from Venice Beach. I am an L.A. girl. I mainly stay on the West Side. My son started his schooling at UC Santa Barbara, then transferred to UCLA and graduated from there, UCLA is 20 min. from my home. He worked at National Genetics Institute for 7 years, has changed jobs and is getting his MBA at USC (we have always hated this school since we were Nebraska fans). We are doing better with them now and I even got a cheerleading outfit for my 6 1/2 yr. old granddaughter. Ryane got married last year to a wonderful Korean, Valley girl. I love the family. Their reception was held at the Ritz Carlton in Pasedena (100 yrs. old). They honeymooned in Italy. In March Ryno went to Japan, (he is half Japanese). Shannon was married to a Culver City cop, his mother was a Hollywood mom, in the '70's she was a top agent. She was a real character, she passed away in Oct. of last year. Shannon and Mike raised exotic birds and Shannon was also a private investigater. They are both with other people as significant others and each of their children are with those people. Shannon and the next Mike just moved to Couer D' Alene Idaho, only 20 miles from Spokane WA where I was born and lived before Snowflake. She loves it up there. My granddaughter is having a wonderful time. Mike's parents had moved up there about three years ago. Alexis gets to go fishing, camping and many other things that she did not get to do here. I am so happy that they are there. I have two dogs that are the most important things in my life. They are vicious and hate everyone, so unless someone is really brave, I keep people out of my house. I mostly play, I have no responsibilities except to myself and my friends. I am having lunch in Malibu today at a wonderful outdoor seafood restaurant that is located on the coast. I have gone to school a lot in past years, that was always fun. I have a community college within walking distance and I did attend CSU Long Beach years ago. I love Long Beach, but it is south of here and not on the "Westside". My son lives in Burbank (that is the valley) and I see no reason to go to the Valley. He and Julie do all their night life over here anyway. I don't see them except for an occasional dinner that they invite me to. I am crazy about them, but this arrangement suits me. Some favorite things for me to do are Museums (The Ghetty, mostly), reading, hanging with friends. I am going to enjoy reading what others from Snowflake share in their little spot. Good Luck to all of you, I hope things are going well. Deborah

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
