Boy, you guys are old! I am just amazed when some of you are talking about Grandkids and college. I cannot imagine.
I graduated from the University of Arkansas (go hogs!) in marketing and attended the University of Tennessee MBA program. I have spent most of my career in sales/sales management in the technology arena. I am currently the Area Vice President of Sales for Sterling Commerce, a division of AT&T .
Martha and I have three boys who are Keegan, Graham, and Bryce. Graham just entered high school, Keegan just entered middle school, and Bryce is still in elementary school. It’s a little overwhelming at the level of competition they face in both academics and athletics at a 5A level school. My eldest has as many in his grade as we did in Watson Chapel. He has started the last three years in football and will play on the JV team this fall. My two younger ones play on select travel soccer teams which creates challenges in itself because they play different venues. Every weekend we flip a coin to see who is going to which game. While most of the games are in Atlanta they may be two hours from each other. We complain about the travel and then we talk about how much we’re going to miss it.
We have been in Atlanta now for 18 years. We spend most of our time here. But, we love the beach and go to Destin when we have a soccer break. As the kids get older we will spend more of our time there and eventually retire in the area. My career has given me the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world. I will actually surpass two million miles on Delta Airlines this year. We were in Italy in the fall and we just got back from Jamaica. Our favorite trip by far was to Bali Indonesia if you can handle the 37 hours to get there!
I truly feel blessed. Life has been good. It’s had its challenges. But, without those experiences you never truly can savor your successes. Most importantly I have a loving wife who has put up with me for 18 years. Some people would consider that a miracle in itself. I have three terrific kids who I wish I was as good a father to them as they are sons to me, and I have great friends, many of whom I had looked forward to seeing at our class reunion. Unfortunately, it does not look like I will get to attend. I hope everyone has a great time. Also, let me state for the record since I will not be there to defend myself any stories Danny Petty says about me are totally false.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
