Today's Featured Biography
Christy Jones
Hi classmates, as you all know my name is Christy Jones, born and raised in Pine Bluff Arkansas, 1980. I Attended elementary school at Carver Elementary from K-3. From there I attended Belair Elementary from 4th-6th where I made many, many friends. There after, I attended Southeast Jr High School, where I can remember having so much fun in seventh grade!! I then went to Junior High School at Jack Robey Junior High, where I became involved in so many activities, that included, Robey Angels (yeah right, was I really an angel?), Spanish Club, and Choir. I then moved on to High School, when I brought my first car, I know alot of you can remember that!! I was also involved in many more organizations such as FTA, FBLA, Spanish Club, Student Council, FHA, and COE. Oh my gosh, man those were the good old days, and I miss that!
After graduating in May of 1998, I immediately started at The University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, where I majored in Education. I attended colled at UAPB for about two and a half years. It was then February 2000, I had my handsome son, and yes he keeps me busy. I then discontinued my education to take care of my son for a year or so, and I then I attempted again, but I was still so busy for some reason!!! I went to SEARK, for about a year and decided that I needed to do something different somewhere else.
I then moved to Kansas City, where I lived with my dad, and sisters. Shortly after living with my father, six months later he passed, so it was back to Arkansas I go!!
A few years later I decided to move to Philadelphia and make a change and acheive a few goals, and so here it is two more years later and I am doing great here in Philly!! I still have my one handsome son, that is 7, I am now working on a BA in Criminal Justice, graduating in December 2007, prayfully!
I work at A Drug and Alcohol Facility, where I assist 25 to 30 individuals majority of them with mental illnesses. I am currently starting back working with Behavioral Children, because for some reason I feel I can make a change in childrens lives, as well as my own son's!
I have a boyfriend, that I have been dating now for a year, (so I am really single,shhh LOL!) and I love it. I plan on living here in Philly for another year or two, and then I will be moving closer to home, because it get a little lonely sometimes when your family is so far away.
Anyways I know you all remember my best friend Nequetta Alford, well she is the reason I chose to move to Philly, and I am so glad of that. She lives like 4 blocks from me, I am sure you will be seeing her bio shortly.
Well I think this about sums it up, I don't think I will be making the meeting unless you all have another one sometimes in June of this year. But you better know that if the Lord say the same I will be making the CLass of 1998 Reunion!!
