Today's Featured Biography
Marty Smith
Susie and I have been blessed with two wonderful daughters. The oldest, Jamie, got married February 10th (mine and Susie's 28th anniversary) and is presently employed at the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter in Pine Bluff. She and her husband Brian are scheduled to attend the Salvation Army training college in Atlanta in August '08.
Jamie has always amazed me with her accomplishments, marching in the 2001 tournament of roses parade, attending Bible college in Vancouver, British Columbia, and going on a mission trip Kenya. And her husband must really love her. He left Key West, Florida to be with her in Pine Bluff!
Kim, our youngest, is a senior at NLR West campus. She plays percussion in band, and appears to be following in her sisters footsteps. She, like Susie And Jamie, toured England and Scotland with the Salvation Army youth band from the Arkansas and Oklahoma division. Kim is intent on attending the University of Arkansas and be in the Marching Razorback band, as her sister did.
Both girls are on fire for the lord and we couldn't be happier about that!
As for me, I just work, try to squeeze in a few rounds of golf a year, and sit back in amazement at how blessed I truley am.
